    LEGS Orlando is an exclusive & intimate networking event where you can learn a new skill while meeting other Boss Women in Orlando! All levels welcome. No experience or clubs required.

    Golf needs a little refresh, and we believe the answer is female. 

    EVENT START TIMES DIFFER BASED ON LESSON VS. COURSE PLAY

    DETAILS:

    Hosted at the beautiful Heathrow Country Club! With each event you choose to either play Nine & Wine or take a lesson. The choice is yours! 

    NINE & WINE @ 5PM:

    Get out on the course for ‘Nine and Wine’, which is a Best Ball Scramble. Meaning each player hits their own shot from the tee. The team then chooses the best shot. Players whose shots were not selected, go pick up their ball and the entire team shoots their second shots from where this “best shot” came to rest. So, if you hit a tree and get negative yardage, or into a person’s yard, or into an alligators mouth…you can just pick it up…except the alligator mouth. We recommend grabbing a new ball. Don’t be like Chubs. If you are brand new to golf, please take a lesson before selecting Nine & Wine!

    LESSON @ 6PM:

    Take a lesson and brush up on new skills. We put the FUN in Fundamentals in our LEGS Improvement Club Lessons. Each event, we focus on either driving, putting, chipping, or irons. It's an easy way to get your feet wet in the sport or brush up on new skills. Our Pro's at Heathrow are LPGA Professionals who can't wait to share their knowledge with you. This is limited to 12 people max per lesson so we can ensure you are getting the most out of your time.

    We do our best to ensure the best networking experience possible and do monitor industries represented at each event. 

    CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

    Cancellations must be received by 12PM, Thursday prior to the event in order to receive a full refund.  Any cancellation requests received after Thursday cannot be refunded and cannot be transferred to another event; however we believe in paying it forward. If you are unable to make an event, we encourage gifting your ticket to another woman to go in your place. 

    REGIRSTRATION CUT OFF

    We will cut off registration on the Saturday before this event at 12pm. Please register for this event before if you are planning on attending. We want to welcome everyone who wants to try golf and experience our events, but we need a final head count and cannot assist last minute registration. Thank you for understanding.

    FAQ's

    What if I don't have clubs? No worries, girl! We adopt a "sharing is caring" mentality, so we all share clubs, so you don't have to make the investment until you're ready.

    What happens if there is bad weather? Our stoke level for LEGS events is always high, so we never want to cancel due to weather; however, your safety is our number one priority. If there is inclement weather, we pivot to “wine & wine” and offer indoor lessons on topics like etiquette, rules, and golf related nuggets. If we do have to cancel, we will give you a credit for your next event!

    Debbie Waitkus is an author, professional speaker, golfer, consultant, event planner, mentor, wife, mother, and charitable worker—and rumor has it, even a licensed pizza inspector (though that last one may be up for debate!).

    With a wealth of experience, Debbie has led an accomplished career. She served as president of a $130 million mortgage bank, founded and ran Golf for Cause for 25 years to empower women through the game of golf, and spent a decade working alongside LPGA Founder Marilynn Smith. Today, she continues that mission through Golf It Forward, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of the LPGA Founders.

    Debbie is passionate about sharing the inspiring stories of the LPGA Founders and encouraging others to channel their trailblazing spirit to Act Like a Founder in every aspect of life.

    FAQs

    I’ve never played golf before. Is this for me?
    Yes! LEGS is designed especially for women new to golf or getting back into it. Whether you’re doing a lesson or joining Nine & Wine, we make it fun, supportive, and zero pressure.

    What if I don’t have clubs?
    No problem! Many members share their clubs and there are usually a few extras on hand. If you need a set, please let us know. No need to buy anything before you're ready!

    Is there a dress code?
    Keep it comfortable and golf-appropriate. A collared shirt and skort, shorts, or golf pants are recommended. Tennis skirts are also totally fine. Closed-toe shoes are a must—golf shoes or sneakers work great. No denim, heels, or opened toed shoes. 

    Do I need to be a member to attend?
    This event is open to members and non-members. But if you love it, we’d love to have you officially join the LEGS Tampa Bay community. Learn more here.

    What should I bring?

    Clubs, golf balls, and tees (if you don't have clubs - no worries! Please let us know as soon as possible). Water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, hat/sunglasses for those sunny Florida afternoons. Don't forget your business cards for networking connections. Lastly, positive vibes & a readiness to learn, laugh, and swing!

    What’s the pace like?
    Super relaxed. Whether you’re doing a scramble or lesson, this is a no-judgment zone. We keep things moving, but it’s all about enjoying the game—not mastering it.

    What’s the parking situation?

    Plenty of free parking is available right at the club.

    What happens if it rains?
    In the event of severe weather or course delays, we will communicate updates directly to all registered attendees via email. Please make sure the email you use at registration is one you check regularly.

    What's the cancellation/refund policy?

    Cancellations must be received by 12:00 PM, Friday prior to the event in order to receive a full refund. Any cancellation requests received after Friday cannot be refunded and cannot be transferred to another event. However, we believe in paying it forward. If you are unable to make an event, we encourage gifting your ticket to another golfer to go in your place.

    DETAILS:

    STARFIRE GOLF CLUB

    With each event you choose to either play NINE or take a LESSON. The choice is yours! 

    PLAY NINE @ 4PM:

    Get out on the course for a 9-hole, twosome, best ball scramble. This means each player hits their own shot from the tee. The team then chooses the best shot. Players whose shots were not selected, go pick up their ball and the entire team shoots their second shots from where this “best shot” came to rest. So, if you hit a tree and get negative yardage, or into a person’s yard, or into a cactus…you can just pick it up…except the cactus. We recommend grabbing a new ball. Don’t be like Chubs.

    If you are brand new to golf, please take a lesson before selecting to Play Nine!

    LESSON @ 5PM:

    Take a lesson and brush up on new skills. We put the FUN in Fundamentals in our LEGS Improvement Club Lessons. Each event, we focus on either driving, putting, chipping, or irons. It's an easy way to get your feet wet in the sport or brush up on new skills.

    What happens if there is bad weather? Our stoke level for LEGS events is always high, so we never want to cancel due to weather; however, your safety is our number one priority. If there is inclement weather, we pivot to “wine & wine” and offer indoor lessons on topics like etiquette, rules, and golf related nuggets. If we do have to cancel, we will give you a credit for your next event!

      What happens if there is bad weather? Our stoke level for LEGS events is always high, so we never want to cancel due to weather; however, your safety is our number one priority. If there is inclement weather, we pivot to “wine & wine” and offer indoor lessons on topics like etiquette, rules, and golf related nuggets. If we do have to cancel, we will give you a credit for your next event!

      Who can participate in this tournament? This is a co-ed tournament open to all golfers, regardless of skill level. Everyone is welcome to join us for a fun and impactful day on the course!

      Are range balls provided? Yes, range balls will be available from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM on the morning of the tournament.

      What should I bring with me? Please bring a sleeve of golf balls, tees, your clubs, and a great attitude! We’ll handle the rest.

      What is a Manbassador? Our Manbassadors are our male members who champion and support the women of Ladies Executive Golf Society, both on the course, and in business. If you are unable to make an event, we encourage gifting your ticket to another person to go in your place.
